With my first Texas School fast approaching and warmer weather I decided I wanted to get in some focused portrait photography work in. I found a beautiful young girl named Jori who was willing to get up extra early on a Sunday morning and meet me on the square in Denton, Texas.
I was so excited when I met Jori, she is so adorable it wouldn’t be possible to even take a bad photograph of her. She was such a trouper, it was very windy and a little chilly when we started. I could also tell that as a teenager, she probably wasn’t used to being out of bed this early on the weekend. As the temperatures warmed up so did Jori and we had a great time shooting. I would like to thank Jori’s mom and dad for allowing her to model for me and coming along to help out
I am planning to use some of Jori’s images in my 2013 Senior Ambassador Program. If you or someone you know is a Junior or Senior in high school give me a call and find out how you can participate and earn free prints and get a free session. I also used my session with Jori to focus on creating an image that I can enter into the DPPA’s print competition. I think the image below is the one I’m going to enter. Wish me luck, it will be my first time entering and I’m very nervous.
I hope that this will be the first of many more shoots with Jori as she is an aspiring model and actress. I know someday I’ll be able to say “I knew her when…”
